Pintcast #142 Not Enough Magic Spray

Of all the fucking days to record the first Pintcast of 2022, this is the one I chose.

To be fair, when discussing the prospect of a podcast at the pub with Misha and Mark after singing our way through a horrible North London Derby with Arsenal Los Angeles, we knew there was a decent possibility that our conversation might occur after the season came crashing down around us.

Being the gluttons for punishment that we are, a lunchtime watch party was planned for Monday’s trip to St. James’ Park. After we held our breath through an anxiety-inducing first half, I resisted the urge to join Mark for a halftime bourbon as Misha paced the halls while making tea.

I nearly immediately regretted my decision as ten minutes into the second half Ben White cleated one into his own net. The Four Roses didn’t stand a chance.

Enough about the match, this is my conversation with actor and filmmaker Misha Crosby in the wake of the two nil defeat to Newcastle where we discuss the Arsenal season, Mikel Arteta’s squad decisions, the future of the club, and a little preview of the Champions League final in Paris.

This Pintcast is also graced with sounds from the indomitable Deathchant, featuring the title track from their new album Waste.

Catch them on tour in Europe this summer, including festivals in Poland and Portugal, check their Instagram for specific dates.
